celebrity snacks

Want to know what your favorite celebs are eating? Just for fun we put together these entirely fictional (but educated) guesses on what Oprah munches on when selecting a book for her book club or what LeBron James eats to power up for a big game. We hope these put a smile on your face like they do ours!

Bobby Flay

Whether competing with other chefs on “Beat Bobby Flay” or creating recipes for his Bobby’s Burger Palace restaurants, Chef Flay always brings bold flavors to the table. His lunch of choice would follow suit and combine two of his favorite tastes—southwestern cuisine and burgers. With multiple cooking shows and books devoted to barbecue, the grill master would create a smoky burger with jalapeño peppers for a spicy kick. For a side, he'd make garlic fries with truffle aioli dipping sauce.

LeBron James

After seeing his former Miami teammate, Ray Allen, quickly lose ten pounds after going Paleo, King James decided to give it a try. He cut out carbs and dairy and focused on high quality proteins like meat, fish, nuts, and leafy greens. LeBron not only lost weight, but also credits the diet for for improving his agility and speed on the court. This Cav is not likely to change is meal plan anytime soon, and would choose grilled shrimp with jicama and carrot slaw and a salad with grilled chicken and  mango-avocado salsa. For an extra boost of energy to power up for a big game, he’d have a tissue-supporting turmeric and orange smoothie.

Oprah

As an avid Weight Watchers devotee Oprah is looking for a satisfying snack that is low on points. She’d choose something like whole wheat toast with almond butter and banana slices for four points, and round out her snack with apples wedges dipped in a tablespoon of indulgent caramel for two points. Oprah would sip on her OWN specialty chai tea from Starbucks—perfect from prompting those “ah-hah” moments.*

Martha Stewart

Never one to take shortcuts in the kitchen, Martha would warm up with soup made from black beans that have been soaked overnight. Her made-from-scratch soup would be accompanied by a wide array of toppings like shredded Gruyere cheese, avocado, cilantro, and sliced onions. The entertaining expert’s lunch is sure to be palate pleasing and include a certain je ne sais quoi. Or as Martha would say, “It’s a good thing.”
